Yesterday at the Apple iPad event the company revealed the new iPad Air formerly known as the iPad, they also introduced an iPad mini with a Retina display.
The iPad Air is pretty much a sleeker and more compact iPad keeping the 9.7-inch Retina display the decive cut back on its weight and size.
The iPad Air is now 20% thinner than its previous model fitting into a 7.5mm case, its also 28% lighter which brings it down to 1.0 pound.
Inside things have also changed the device inherited the A7 processor with the 64-bit architecture as well as the M7 motion processor found in the iPhone 5S. The processor boosts performance to twice as much as before and the same goes for graphics, while keeping that 10 hour battery life.
This comes all to life with the 475K iPad designed apps and the iTunes Library, the iPad Air will start shipping November 1 starting at $499 for the 16GB Wi-fi and cellular at $629. Surprisingly the iPad 2 will be sticking around at its $399 starting price.
