Nokia has been on a roll to grow its market share in the smartphone market and its screen size till today Android’s are the only devices that have had 5’inch screens, but that’s all changed today at Nokia World thanks to the Lumia 1520 and 1320.

Lumia 1520:

The Lumia 1520 is basically a Lumia 720 blown up as Nokia has stuck with the beautiful and simple single piece polycarbonate design, the phablet features a 6 inch 1080p display the first of any Windows Phone.

The screen estate will allow a third row of tiles, the screen isn’t the only thing that got a boost the device has a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor that runs at 2.2GHz paired with 2GB of RAM. Windows Phone is a light OS and didn’t have problems running on a dual core processor though this added power will allow the 1520 to tackle video editing and games without a sweat.

The Lumia 1520 also has a 3,400mAh battery, built in LTE and wireless charging. The device also inherited the PureView camera with a 20 Megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and the ability to taking a photo while zoomed without quality lost in the image.

Lumia 1320:

The Lumia 1520 comes at a steep price for the average consumer, but Nokia covered them with the Lumia 1320. Of course to keep costs down the smartphone had to make due without some features like stepping down the screen resolution from 1080p to 720p, and the processor had to be downgraded to a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM which is still capable of running the device smoothly.

The camera is the hardest part to swallow as it went from a 20MP from the 1520 to a 5MP in the 1320.

The devices will come with the lastest version of Windows Phone 8. The Lumia 1520 will be available in black, red, yellow, and white the roll out will start in the US, UK, France, Germany, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, it will cost $749(+R7499) of contract.
