Chrome for iOS has enabled a compression similar to Opera Turbo which Android has had for quite a while now.

The way the compression works is when you request a web page in Google Chrome, it then goes through Google’s servers where it gets compressed and this is the version of the page you get. It’s the same, but up to 50% smaller in size.

The feature is only invitation only for now, but surely it’ll open up to the public when everything is good and ready.
