Blackberry’s secret weapon BBM might be landing on iOS and Android devices as soon as Friday, this comes from Samsung Nigeria’s Twitter page
which confirmed that the app should launch pretty soon.

BBM was rumoured to be a 3 month exclusive to Samsung, but things seem to have not turned out that way as BBM Communications Director Victoria Berry had this to say on the impending launch:

“The excitement around the upcoming BBM launch on iPhone and Android devices seems to know no bounds. Although I’m a big fan of this passion, I want to clarify that no one will have an exclusive on offering BBM. We’ll be bringing the app to Android and iPhone users across the globe soon.”

With the launch so close this will significantly increase the number of users on BBM and, take the messaging service to other platforms that have been waiting for a cross platform messaging service with an edge.
