LG has made its 8’inch slate official, the tablet is the first to have a FHD display on an 8inch tablet.

The size of the tablets display is actually 8.3″ with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). Running everything internally is a quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The device comes with 2GB of RAM, with 16GB of internal storage. The back and front facing cameras weigh in at 5MP and 1.2MP respectively and a 4600mAh battery keeps the slate alive.

The slate comes with Android 4.2.2 pre-installed, the device comes with an app called QPair, each call and message that appears on a smartphone will also appear on the
tablet and simple replies can be send through the G Pad.

Pricing isn’t available yet, but its due to launch in the fourth quarter in North America, Europe, Asia and other regions.

  1. It looks pretty darn good. The 4600mAh battery would be one of it’s strengths. It just pains me to see that the hardware looks pretty much the same with most current generation devices. Although technology is continuously growing, it doesn’t look like it will change in another year or so. If you want to get an upgrade from a 3 year old device, this is definitely something to look at. Keep up the good work! would like to read from you again 🙂
