Samsung is set to release its wearable smartwatch called Galaxy Gear at the IFA event next month, but the wearable tech isn’t the one to make phone calls.
Sources from Bloomberg reported last week that Samsung will release a smartwatch with phone and data capabilities, but the Verge has uncover that the Galaxy Gear will be a watch that accompanies your Samsung smartphone and will tether the device via Bluetooth.
The Galaxy Gear will in no way makes phone calls by itself, Samsung has made smartwatches before that didn’t work well and weren’t widely distributed worldwide.
