The sinking ship of an OS that had the team of all teams when it was in development for the Palm Pre is now reportedly being bought by LG.
LG plans to power its Smart TV’s with WebOS which is a smart move consider the popularity of Apps and Smart Tv’s nowadays. According to CNET, the deal includes the source
code for WebOS, related documentation and patents, engineering talent, and related WebOS Web sites. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
If you were looking for a WebOS smartphone your short out of luck as LG has no plans on a smartphone for the OS.
