Blackberry 10 is having a good response in the UK and its home turf Canada, the company launched its Blackberry10 OS and 2 devices last mouth, but its already made its way to the shelves.
Blackberry’s future rests on BB10 so if the OS isn’t a success the company is doomed, although its to early to tell the new devices seem to be having a good start in the UK and Canada. Blackberry says that it has broken records with the launch of the device in both the UK and Canada without releasing any numbers on sales. CEO Thorsten Heins said this about the UK launch “In the UK, we have seen close to three times our best performance ever for the first week of sales for a BlackBerry smartphone.”. Sales in Canada were 5 days delayed, but they also set record sales Heins had this to say “In Canada, [Tuesday] was
the best day ever for the first day of a launch of a new BlackBerry smartphone. In fact, it was more than 50 percent better than any other launch day in our history in Canada,”
If demand for the new devices are this high in the US and the rest of the world, it looks like Blackberry is back.
